Sunday Morning Panel Member - Bev Reed
Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator,  Zones 27

Servant Leader is a term that well describes PDG Bev Reed.  In 2018 Bev retired from a 38-year career with the YMCA.  Whether a Program Director or a CEO of an Association, Bev has embraced the need to serve in her community.  One key accomplishment was being part of an Executive Team in a $40 Million fundraising and construction project of two new facilities in Spokane, Washington.  In addition, Bev also served as a National YMCA Faculty trainer in the areas of Volunteerism, Fundraising and Leading & Coaching Others.

Her love for service carried over in her involvement in Rotary. Bev joined the Aurora Northwest Rotary Club in 2004.  She provided leadership as club president in 2011-12, Assistant Governor 2012-2014, District Governor 2018-19. Her passion for training continued as a facilitator of RLI since 2009, PETS Instructor and coach for six years and served as the PETS OPCOM Chair 2020-21.  Bev has been honored to serve in many capacities for Zone 27, Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator, 2019 Zone 26/27 GETS/GNATS faculty team, was the co-chair for the Zone Institute in Tucson in 2021 and served as 2022 Institute Chair in Salt Lake City.  In July 2023 Bev began her new role as the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator for Zone 27.

Bev feels the success of being a great fundraiser is being a great active listener, asking a potential donor to share their “Why” story and find ways to connect the donor to their passion.  It is all about relationships – Yes, it is that simple.

Bev and her husband Bill are Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation and are members of the Paul Harris Society, Polio Plus Society and the Bequest Society.

In her “free time”, Bev loves hiking, gardening, golfing and most important, spending time with her grandchildren Sadie and Sean.
